At least 120,000 people have lost their lives in East Africa and South Asia in the aftermath of the earthquake and resulting tsunamis on December 26. Thousands of people in Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, and Indonesia are still missing; many others have lost their homes and livelihoods. Sri Lanka and Indonesia suffered the highest number of deaths, but India, East Africa, Seychelles, Maldives, and Thailand were all affected by the tsunami waves, which reached as high as 20 feet. Aid workers and volunteers are focused on stopping the spread of disease and delivering food and drinking water to survivors [Details from American Red Cross].
So please give your hand. If you’ve got any extra dollars, donate them to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Your generosity might save lives. A list of international organization accepting donations to help victims of the tsunamis is here on CNN.
Even if you can’t support financially, do it spiritually. Spread the word and get more people involved in the prayer.
Pay or pray.

Now I have two color schemes for TIMELINE [if you don't know about it, click the small buttons on the top right corner to see the effect]. I use Rainbow style as the default one but basically I stick on Sky style myself almost all the time. How about you guys? Which one would you like use as the default style? I would change it if more people say no to the colorful one.
This is a mini survey. I don’t wanna paste some code to mess my template up. So please leave your comment and I’ll count that to make the decision.
Thanks and happy holidays!
Updated: 2 vs 1. Sky won out!

Zola claimed his principles of link exchange. I sumrized his ideas as following and my comments added as well [C]:
1. Friends sharing similar interests are welcomed.
C: I might misinterpreted/mistranslated this item here. What he used is a Chinese idiom known as “Zhi Tong Dao He” [literally means Wills Same Road Joins], which can be translated into “in the same camp”.
2. Make sure your blog has CONTENT.

Blog is the most looked-up word on Merriam-Webster’s website this year. More and more people noticed blog and tried to figure the four-letter-word out. The blogosphere is gonna explode. I’m looking forward to that.

Blog noun [short for Weblog] (1999) : a Web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer

Though I can’t quite agree with the definition. Journal, comments, links are the essential elements of a blog. But why is the reverse chronological order overlooked?

The more we know about AIDS, the better we know how to protect ourselves and people around us. Even if you think you are an expert about AIDS, please be patient enough to read through and tell what you know to someone you think might need this information. Thanks.
HIV is one of the biggest social, economic and health challenges in the world. It is a global emergency claiming over 8,000 lives every day. In fact 5 people die of AIDS every minute.
HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. This is the virus known to cause AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). If someone is HIV-positive, it means they have been infected with the virus.
A person infected with HIV does not have AIDS until the virus seriously damages their immune system, making them vulnerable to a range of infections, some of which can lead to death.
HIV is transmitted through body fluids in particular blood, semen, vaginal secretions and breast milk, in fact there are only four ways you can become HIV positive.

In 2003, almost 5 million people acquired HIV, which means there are now almost 38 million people living with HIV and AIDS. Despite best efforts from governments, non-profit organisations and healthcare practitioners around the world, HIV and AIDS is still having huge global impact.
You cannot get HIV by:
Shaking hands
Sharing cutlery
Hugging each other
Drinking from the work fountain
Using the same cup
Being a friend
